3D printing: valuable but not magic
Posted By: Jeff Erenstone on February 27, 2016
Hello Listserve, As some of you know, I have been very involved with 3D printing prosthetics both professionally and as a volunteer assisting in low cost designs for the developing world. There is a lot of media hype and myths involved with these devices. I recently wrote an article as a response to this hype. Here is a post with a link to the article.... https://twitter.com/CreatePROSInfo/status/687294019802644480 I hope it can be useful to help clear up the confusion with your patients and referral. I intend on publishing more articles like it in the future. 3D printing is amazing and will have a huge impact on our field, but it is not magic. The knowledge and skills of Prosthetists are still required.
