Re: Need pump for pneumatic post-amputation mobility aid (PPAM aid)
Posted By: Matt Pepe on June 13, 2016
Our non-profit charity (www.funprobo.org) in La Paz Bolivia needs a pump and gauge to properly inflate a pneumatic post-amputation mobility aid (PPAM aid). Example here: (www.ortho-europe.com/Prosthetics/Rehab-Equipment/PPAM-Aid) We provide prosthetic limbs to low income Bolivian amputees and recently our center received a PPAM aid as a donation. It seems to be a great help to our patients, but we do not have the proper pump for it. Unfortunately a pump set is almost $500 from kingsley, which is out of our budget. If anyone knows anything about this device and can suggest some sort of aftermarket, used, or alternative pump it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank for any help and/or advice you can provide.
