Crutches, Walkers, & Such
Posted By: Brett Saunders, CPO on April 19, 2010
I am getting requests from a physician that we start stocking a few items that we traditionally have not in the past. Walkers, Crutches, and Cervical Traction Units. Nothing for rental. Does anyone have experience or advise about pitfalls or issues that should be addressed when incorporating these into a traditional O&P practice? With Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance? I am aware of the accreditation issue and that an updated 855 needs to be filed with CMS..but is there more? Thank you for your help and advice. Brett Saunders, CPO |
