Machine Room Dust Collection/Ventilation

Good Evening Everyone,
I work in a small off site two days a week.  The machine room is about 9"x 10" with a Trautman and Enco 2 hp dust collector.  No outside ventilation is present, and sounds like from the plant manager, not possible.  I have been looking at a variety of systems and ended up coming back to the Torit VS 550 or VS 1200.  In the OANDP-List archive there are a couple of notes but I was hoping to get a bit more input from the current list.  
How well do they collect dust?  Is the Hepa filter worth the 1K?  Will it actually be better then the Enco?
If you are in the Chicago area and would not mind a visit I would appreciate an on site visit.
