2nd Starband for Medicaid Patient?

I have a patient who has been in a Starband cranial remolding helmet for close to 6 months. She was a very severe case, & we started early . She is close to outgrowing her current helmet, & her measurements are still indicated to continue. Insurance is NC Medicaid, which states "1 per beneficiary". Has anybody had success with billing a 2nd helmet through NC MCD, due to medical necessity? Any other tips?
