Help with a Water AK prosthesis!
Posted By: Jim Sedlak on November 10, 2016
Again, I come to this forum seeking help. I have a gentleman that I would classify as a functional level 3 amputee. We have finally reached the point to transition to his definitive prosthesis. His main goal as an amputee is to resume playing golf. However, he wants to also have the ability to fully immerse his prosthesis in water and to participate in lake activities. I must be honest and state that I have not done much with fabrication for a water leg. So, before I start contacting all the different manufacturers, I would like to ask what some of you have had success and failures with for everyday functional water prosthesis from suspension, knee and foot and all other components. I thank you all in advance for your help. Jim Sedlak, CP |
